Honee Babee Art Studio is a testament to freedom in creativity. The talented couple's artistry spans across drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, interior design, and building. They pour their passion and pride into their creations, whilst also cherishing creative input from their community. Their mantra resonates deeply – every individual carries a unique form of creative expression.

Michelle's personal journey with art traces back to her elementary school days. It was her enchanting sketch of a horse within a corral in third grade that garnered recognition from the American Royal, marking her first significant acknowledgment as an artist.

Art, as eloquently conveyed by Michelle, is intertwined with the Black experience. The community's expressions – from their attire to their dance, to their visual renderings – are all manifestations of art. This belief resonates in Michelle's work and adds depth and authenticity to her artistic style.

Art, in its myriad forms, offers a unique narrative that is both individually and collectively relatable. Michelle's work exquisitely encapsulates this essence, at times subtly hinting at the undercurrents of popular culture, reminiscent of the artistry in classic shows such as the Jackson Five cartoons.

We invite you to celebrate Michelle M. Beasley's extraordinary journey and her invaluable contribution to the Kansas City art scene. She, along with numerous artists in our community, epitomizes talent, persistence, and unyielding dedication to their craft.
